GRANFONDO 140 km: Tolmezzo,VillaSantina,Ampezzo,Sauris,Casera Razzo,Pesaris,
Ovaro,Zoncolan,Sutrio,Paluzza,Ligosullo,Paularo,Salino, Zuglio,Tolmezzo.

MEDIOFONDO 107 km: Tolmezzo,VillaSantina,Ampezzo,Sauris,Casera Razzo,Pesaris,
Comeglians,Ravascletto,Sutrio,Arta Terme,Zuglio,Tolmezzo.

1. Assembly point and start:

Tolmezzo via G. Marchi from 7 a.m.
Start at 8:00 a.m.

3. Entry:

open to all adult male and female riders. Every cyclist must submit a medical certificate that may not be dated previous to January 1st 2008. Minors over 15 and adults over 65 may race only the Mediofondo. For Italian riders the affiliations to FCI, UDACE or another “Enti di Promozione Sportiva” recognized by C.O.N.I. are accepted.

4. Participation fee:

From January 7 to May 31: € 30,00;
from June 1 to July 7: € 40,00;
from July 8 to July 12: € 50,00.

Registrations start from January 7 2008 and end July 12 at 19:30
Registration will not be accepted July 13 2008

5. Enrolment procedure:

• BY BANK: payment into bank account: EUR IBAN: IT47-P088-9464-3200-0000-0040-830
• BY POSTAL ORDER: payment by Eurocheque or international postal transfer cheque in favour of:
A. S. D. CARNIA BIKE – Via C. Battisti n° 4 – 33028 Tolmezzo (Udine);

When the payment has been effected, the photocopy of the transfer receipt should be sent to the organisation together with the enrolment form which is also available on the official homepage www.carniaclassic.com.

The requested data are:
name, surname, address, birthdate, sex, e-mail, mobile number, team name and its UCI CODA (if existing), UCI personal card number (if existing), signature (without a signature, the registration will be null), and the possible spot credits for enter in Griglia “A” or Griglia “B” (see above at point 2.) .
Teams could make a cumulative payment and send a copy of the bank receipt together with the list of riders with all the information requested on the entry form and signed by the head of the cycling club must.

6. Distribution of race-numbers and check in:

Ufficio Gara, in via A. Moro:
• Saturday July 12 from 10 a.m. to 20 p.m.;
• Sunday July 13 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m

7. Crono checkpoints - BY WINNING TIME:

the checkpoints passages are mandatory. There will checkpoints at the start, the end and along the chosen route. If a rider will not pass just one checkpoint then will not appear in the finishing order.

8. Time limit:

10 hours for the Gran Fondo. The arrival will end at 18.00 for all challengers.
At 12:45 the Gran Fondo access near Comeglians will be closed.
At 15:30 the Gran Fondo access at Sutrio will be closed.

9. Prizegiving ceremony:

the MF and GF prizegiving-ceremony will start 2 hours after the arrival of the respective first racer.
At the end of the GF time limit the team prizegiving-ceremony will start.
Prizes will be handed for:
• the first 3 classified in the overall individual MF and GF classification;
• the first 5 classified in each MF and GF category;
• the first 5 women classified in the overall individual MF and GF classification;
• the first 5 teams.
A special classification for the climb of the Zoncolan pass from Ovaro, the “CRONO ZONCOLAN”, will be set up for anyone who will end the GF.
Prizes will be handed for:
• the best overall 10 times ; (money for the best 5 times)
• the best overall women 5 times; (money for the best 5 times)

10. medical assistance:

will be guaranteed by the CCZ organization. There will be ambulances manned by doctors and nurses. A fixed medical aid point will be set at the starting place.

11. mechanical assistance:

will be guaranteed by the CCZ organization:
There will be set up 4 fixed mechanical assistance points (Pesariis km. 67, Ovaro km. 77, Sutrio km. 101 and Paularo km. 119) and some mobile provided by cars and motorcycle.
The assistance of private vehicles following the race is strictly prohibited.

Granfondo & Mediofondo at km 36 by the Sauris lake (complete)
Granfondo & Mediofondo at km 45 by the sella di Razzo at 1805 m height (beverage)
Mediofondo at km 76 at Comeglians (complete)
Granfondo at km 77 at Ovaro (complete)
Granfondo at km 82 along the Zoncolan climb (beverage)
Granfondo at km 87 at Zoncolan top (complete)
Granfondo at km 109 at Ligosullo (complete)

12. Safety helmets:

COMPULSORY DURING ALL THE RACE.

13. General rules:

all that is not contemplated by the afore-mentioned CCZ rules, will fall under the general regulations of the “Commissione Nazionale FCI”.
The organization will decline any responsibility from stuff and animal damages and injuries that will happen before, during or after the manifestation.
All the routes will NOT be closed to traffic. Any participant must obey the rules of the road.

14. Alterations:

the CCZ organisation could make alterations to the programme/regulation due to act of God or to ensure the participants safety .
All official communications will be notified on the website www.carniaclassic.com

15. Signature:

with the signature on the enrolment form, the participant accepts the above mentioned instructions and confirms that he is in possession of a privat insurance, a third party insurance and the medical certificate according to D.M.V. 18/02/1992 and is in the condition to take part at the long course race. For accidents during the race the organisation comitee will not take upon the liability.

16. withdrawal:

if it will be communicated before July 7 then the participation fee would be validated for the next CCZ edition.
